ARTIFACT:
This is a squadron patch for the United States Army Air Forces 398th Fighter Squadron, 369th Fighter Group, 3rd and 4th Air Force. This squadron flew P-39, P-40 and P-51 aircraft and the patch shows a vulture sailing through the sky.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
4-5/8" height and 7-1/8" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Felt patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
