ARTIFACT:
This is a CBI theatre-made United States Army Air Forces 10th Combat Cargo Squadron, 3rd Combat Cargo Group jacket patch.
The patch shows a pelican with a well-filled bill flying past a Roman numeral X and reads COM CAR.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
About 5-1/2" in diameter; leather of patch is 1/8" thick.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Multi-piece leather with painted detail.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto garment.
