This is a variant patch for the United States Navy Construction Battalion or "Seabees". It reads SEABEES and shows a bumblebee with a sailor's hat holding a variety of construction tools. In this version, the bumblebee has droopy eyelids and three flight lines behind him.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:2-3/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blue fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RBX90 LEJX4/10 SEJX6/12
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Patch has light wear and one spot of discoloration.
