This is a World War II United States Navy Relief Society badge presented for completion of 600 volunteer hours. The Relief Society, first organized in 1904, is now known as the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS). The badge is enameled in green and was made by Bastian Brothers.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3/4" square.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:BASTIAN BROS. CO. ROCH. N.Y. and union marks.
