Description
This is a circa World War II United States Air Navy lieutenant's aviation uniform jacket and pants. The jacket is unnamed and has a bullion wing. There is an embroidered star on wool and some stripes near each cuff.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Jacket (about a 38L): approximately 19" (armpit to armpit), 26" from shoulder seam to end of cuff, 18" across back shoulder to shoulder and about 31-1/2" from base of collar to hem. Pants: approximate 29" waist, 34" long. Wing: 3-1/4" in width and 1-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Jacket: wool with silk lining, plated brass buttons, wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads (stars), embroidery tape; wing: wool felt embroidered in bullion threads; pants: wool, resin buttons.
ATTACHMENT:Jacket: buttons, buttons on pockets, snaps under breast pocket flaps, buttons at shoulders; pants: button, zipper fly, buttons on back pockets (one missing), belt loops.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The items overall are in good condition: there is some wear below right front pocket on jacket near side, rip in lining. Pants have some minor spots of light to medium wear and what looks to be a repair on one cuff and a small hole on opposite cuff.
