Description
This is a World War II United States Maritime Services officer cap badge in bullion worn by Wally Johnson, a radio officer of the USS President Garfield. Pictured above are Johnson and his ship, the USS President Garfield. The badge shows an eagle perched upon a crest bearing an anchor, all wreathed in gold leaves.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-7/16" in height and 24-1/2" in length (total).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in bullion, silk backing, elasticized cotton band.
ATTACHMENT:Elastic band with two reinforced holes.
MARKINGS:None.
