ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Army Corps of Engineers officer collar insignia. The insignia, which is the Corps' "Castle", is British made by J.R. Gaunt of London.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 11/16" in height and 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal British kick (Y) pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

J.R. GAUNT LONDON.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The insignia shows some light wear with some areas of tarnish and small spots of very minor oxidation.
