ARTIFACT: This is a pre-World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 63rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Missile Battalion by N. S. Meyer. The DI shows three winged anti-aircraft missiles upon a purple and gold crest and reads AMOR PATRIAE (for love of country).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, engraved shield maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBDX12/11

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The DI shows some moderate wear and tarnish, light oxidation and has a small piece of enamel missing.
