This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 606th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion by N.S. Meyer. The DI is a crest bearing a lion, a winged arrow and a defense wall. The DI reads AD FINEM DEFENSOR (defenders to the end).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, shield maker mark, 9M in crest.
