ARTIFACT:

This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 26th Infantry Division. The patch is diamond-shaped in olive drab and bears a blue interlocking capital "Y" and "D" that stand for the Massachusetts group's nickname, the "Yankee Division"

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 4" in height and 3-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto uniform.

None.
