ARTIFACT:

This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 26th Infantry Division. The patch is diamond-shaped in khaki twill and bears an interlocking blue capital "Y" and "D" that stand for the Massachusetts group's nickname, the "Yankee Division".
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-13/16" in height and 3-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Khaki twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LCEX11/10
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Patch shows light wear only with some thread remnants along edge.
