This is a variant distinctive insignia for the United States Army 179th Infantry Division. The DI reads IN OMNIA PARATUS (in all things prepared) and shows the profile of a Native American man presiding over war weapons.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization posts.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only light wear and tarnish.
