WWII Theatre-Made DI for US Army 398th Infantry Regiment

This is a World War II theatre-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army's 398th Infantry Regiment. The insignia is a crest with a silver and blue wave pattern and reads ON THE ALERT.

Circa World War II.

1-1/8" height and 1" width.

White metal/aluminum with blue paint.

Vertical safety-style pin.

This insignia has been rated a level II rarity by ASMIC (American Society of Military Insignia Collectors). This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REX97 LAEEX4/10

5+ (Fine-): Insignia shows moderate to heavy abrasion and some of the paint is worn away.
