This is a World War II launch tag for the launching of the USS Sea Fox (SS-402) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on March 28, 194Sea Fox earned four battle stars during World War II and continued her career until being sold to Turkey in 1970.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16 in height (excluding 3-5/8" of string) and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock with silk string.
ATTACHMENT:Punched hole with string.
MARKINGS:None.
