WWII Submarine Launch Tag for the USS Plaice SS-390

This is a World War II launch tag for the launching of the USS Plaice (SS-390) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. The Plaice was launched on November 15, 1943, and received five battle stars for her World War II service.

Circa 1943.

Approximately 2-1/16 in height (excluding 3-5/8" of string) and 1-3/4" in width.

Foiled card stock with silk string.

Punched hole with string.
