This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Irex SS-482, launched January 26, 1945 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. Irex was in the Panama Canal zone early in her career when World War II ended.
VINTAGE:Circa 1945.
SIZE:About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled card stock.
ATTACHMENT:Silk string.
