ARTIFACT: This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Irex SS-482, launched January 26, 1945 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. Irex was in the Panama Canal zone early in her career when World War II ended.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945.

SIZE: About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Foiled card stock.

ATTACHMENT: Silk string.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Excellent-): This tag has a slight crease at the top, and the tag you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
