ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II sterling silver lapel pin by Dieges & Clust for the United States Army Air Forces base in Bermuda known as Fort Bell Kindley Field. Prior to joining the war effort, the US was given rights by the British government to construct an air base for joint use by the two countries. The pin is in gold-plated sterling silver and is nicely enameled.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 13/16" height and 15/16" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
DIEGES & CLUST STERLING GOLD PLATED.
