ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1940s volunteer service pin for one thousand hours of service at Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts. The pin is in enameled sterling silver and is chained to a bar reading 1000.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately Badge1-1/16"x 3/4" / bar 9/16"x 3/4" / chain.1-1/2"

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Pin: vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch; bar: horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch; chain.
