ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II patch for the United States Army 99th Infantry Division, also known as "Checkerboard Division". The patch is a black crest edged in olive drab with a swath or blue and white checkerboard across its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2-7/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
