Description

ARTIFACT:

WWII Nazi Germany Red Cross Enlisted Man's Hewer, with scarce frog. The dagger features a nickel-plated hilt with double sided grip, obverse Bakelite and reverse smooth black enamel. The cross guard features a drop-winged eagle facing the viewer's left with a swastika on its breast and Red Cross logo in its talons. The hewer has a saw-back blade and the scabbard is black painted steel with a black leather frog.

This is from a WWII Nazi occupation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEJJX15 LAAJJX1/15 TRAAJJX2/15

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): Blade shows some tarnishing, hewer shows overall light age/storage wear. Nearly all of the enamel and Bakelite remain fully intact on grip with no cracks or splits. Leather is soft and supple and nearly all of the nickel-plating details remain intact.
