This is an issue United States Army shoulder scroll for the 4th Ranger Battalion. The 4th was a special operations unit culled from the original 1st Ranger Battalion. Their World War II service saw them invade Sicily and battle the infamous Hermann Göring Division.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 3-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Black felt patch with red and white cotton/silk threads and mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:Handwritten period label.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The patch shows very little wear.
