ARTIFACT:

This is a circa World War II Hytron Radio Tube Manufacturing Corporation worker badge. Hytron was a company in Lawrence, Massachusetts that got bought out by CBS in the early 1950s. The oval badge shows a photo of a woman worker at center, and her identification number is written below. We have another badge for sale separately showing this same woman working about ten years later, after the merger (please se link at bottom of page for information).

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2" in height and 1-9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, colored paper, celluloid.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal drop-in locking swivel catch, back plate.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some light wear and some small spots of oxidation to the reverse only.
