ARTIFACT: This is a circa Korean War era CBS-Hytron Radio and TV Tube Manufacturing Corporation worker badge. Hytron was bought out by CBS (Columbia Broadcasting Systems) in the early 1950s to become CBS-Hytron of Newburyport, Massachusetts. The blue badge shows a photo of a woman worker and her identification number. We have another badge for sale separately showing this same woman working about ten years earlier, before the merger (please se link at bottom of page for information).

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a war worker collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VABX13 LFJX4/13 SECX7/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows only some light wear and has some spots of oxidation to the reverse only.
