ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early World War II worker photo identification badge from Midvale Steel at Nicetown, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In operation from 1867 to 1976, Midvale specialized in durable metal alloys used for applications such as military machinery and automobiles. The badge is numbered 331 and shows that the employee's photo was taken on August 21, 1940.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, celluloid, paper, photgraph.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.
