ARTIFACT: This is a World War II Hitler Youth belt buckle in painted steel. It is accompanied by its original paper tag, although the tag has become detached. 

"Hitler Youth" was initially an organization formed to groom teenagers as anti-Semites, but during the War the Youths became fair game to restore depleted military manpower.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Buckle: approximately 1-7/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted steel, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Belt loop, prongs.

MARKINGS: RZM mark; M5/276 on reverse of buckle; HERSTELLER: NR. M4/115 RZM HJ-KPPOL-SCHLOSS NR. A 268386 on tag.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Nazi Germany collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDJX12 MABEX6/12 SABEX01/21

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The buckle has some small spots of light to medium wear; tag has become detached.
