ARTIFACT: This is a classic patriotic homefront World War II Elco (Electric Boat Company) yard-made submarine badge. Begun in 1892, Elco manufactured several types of boats, including yachts, power boats and boats for the United States Coast Guard and Navy. The sub is a streamlined design with a few simple details such as portholes.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height and 3-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin on bar with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear and tarnish.
