ARTIFACT: This is a World War II plaque for the United States Army 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, Company D. It was given to Staff Sergeant Stanley J. Marchinski. The wooden plaque is badge-shaped and reads S-SGT. STANLEY J. MARCHINKSI CO. D 502ND PARCHT. REG. There is an inset in the center depicting a winged parachute with PARATROOPS U.S. ARMY encircling it.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: 7-3/4" height and 6-3/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Walnut with painted nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Metal hanger affixed to back.

MARKINGS: Sticker on reverse reads: REORDER FROM LANDSENTRE SERVICE 10 MURRAY ST. NY 7 NY.
