Description
This is a Chance Vought Aircraft Company cigarette pack holder/protector from World War II. Chance Vought was a New York company that changed its name to Chance Vought five years after its 1917 birth as the Lewis and Vought Company. Chance Vought manufactured F4U Corsairs, a fighter aircraft operated from carriers, for both the United States Marine Corps and United States Navy. The holder is made of lightweight aircraft aluminum.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in width and 3" in height and 1-1/16" in depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Aircraft aluminum.
ATTACHMENT:Two slide-together pieces.
