This is a World War II "Bundles for Britain" donation pin. This non-military aid program was begun in 1940 by a New Yorker named Mrs. Wales Latham. The pin reads DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and my right), Great Britain's motto, and shows a heraldic lion.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1-11/16" height and 1-5/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Two gold-plated brass plates (hollow body) with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:OFFICIAL B.W.R.S. AND B.B. BY ACCESSOCRAFT.
