Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II "Bundles for America" donation badge in sterling silver. This non-military aid program was begun by World War I ace Eddie Rickenbacker's wife, Adelaide. The pin shows an eagle above a star with two crossed anchors that bears an enameled "BFB" at center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

1-1/8" height and 1-1/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING.
