Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II "Bundles for Britain" donation lapel pin by Accessocraft. This non-military aid program was begun in 1940 by a New Yorker named Mrs. Wales Latham. The pin reads DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and my right), Great Britain's motto, and shows a heraldic lion.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 1" in height and 5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Gold-plated brass with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:
Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:
OFFICIAL B.W.R.S. AND B.B. BY ACCESSOCRAFT.
