WWII British Airborne OfficerÕs Beret Badge (?)

This is an unidentified World War II British Airborne Officer's beret badge (?) in two dimensions. The badge is quite beautiful and is made from .925 silver, and shows a warrior with a spear riding a winged horse.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
