This is a Weimar-era "Amper Glonn Gau" Homeland Security officer's badge, which came to us along with some Bavarian veteran's medals and ribbons. The badge is diamond-shaped and shows a lion bearing a shield with the words "Amper Glonn Gau".
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:DESCHLER U. SOHN MUNCHEN 9 tag.
