ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II Bell Aircraft worker badge for John Mehs Company, subcontractor. A prolific aircraft manufacturer, Bell became most known for producing the first supersonic aircraft, the Bell X-The badge is by Bastian Brothers of Rochester, New York, and was originally worn by Alexander Zapotoczky.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass, painted areas, paper, celluloid.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.
