This is a shoulder patch for the United States 1st Marine Division on twill. The patch shows a number one labeled GUADALCANAL set against five stars.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:3-9/16" height and 3" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blue cotton twill patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Patch purchased may either be this precise patch or one that is extremely similar. RE(J)92 LCHX7/10 SCHX1/11
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Patch shows some light wear and slight fading.
