This is a great circa World War I United States Navy CPO (Chief Petty Officer) hat badge. This badge has an unusually slanted "USN" mounted on the anchor.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt and plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
