ARTIFACT:

This is a World War I United States Navy chief petty officer badge. The badge is an anchor and rope with the letters USN.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/2" height and 1-1/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch (original pin was replaced).

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some small spots of light wear and tarnish and it has a replacement pin.
