This is a World War I United States Army equipment tag with a castle logo to show that it was for an engineer (the recruit had his initialed with T.A.B). The tag would have been attached to an item such as an ammunition pouch, and the three prongs would have punctured the material and then been folded back in order to stay on.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1" diameter and 7/16" depth (length of prong).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Three bendable prongs.
MARKINGS:TAB stamped on front.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Tab shows light wear and tarnish and prongs are straight.
