Description
This is a World War I tug-of-war trophy cup for the 3rd Training Brigade, Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.). The trophy was won by Private A.A. Matheson on June 28, 191The trophy is in silver plate and has a manufacturer mark on the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 6-1/2" height and 3-1/8" diameter (at lip).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver plate.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:GOLDSMITHS SILVERSMITHS COMPANY LTD. 112 REGENT STREET W. REGENT PLATE and cross maker's mark.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The trophy has some small scattered areas of medium wear to the outside; the interior has moderate tarnishing; both rims are no longer perfectly circular.
