This is World War I United States Army son-in-service pin. The pin shows a blue star within a red-bordered rectangle. There is a patent mark on the reverse of the pin.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 3/8" in height and 9/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:PAT'D NOV. 1917.
