WWI German Army Wound Badge in Black

This is a World War I German Army Black Wound Badge, which is equivalent to a Purple Heart. The badge shows a helmet with two crossed swords, and the black version was given out to those injured up to twice or who suffered frostbite while serving.

Circa World War I.

Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-7/16" in width.

Plated brass.

Vertical T-style kick pin with C catch.
