Description
WWI French Maginot Line Badge. The Maginot Line was named after WWI soldier Andre Maginot and served as a defensive line against attack. The main fortifications included 22 large underground fortresses and 36 smaller fortresses, as well as blockhouses, bunkers and rail lines. The badge features a bunker on a hill and beneath, artillery coming from underground, the badge features intricately detailed barbed wire fence along the edge and reads: "ON NE PASSE PAS", there is a small pin hole at the bottom possibly for a patriotic charm.

SIZE:Approximately 1 3/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped, nickeled brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Badge shows moderate wear, a small pin hole at bottom (possibly for charm), much of the nickel plating remains intact.
