Description
This is a World War I era United States Army 96th Company Coastal Artillery grouping of one patch, a dog tag, a photograph of a fully-outfitted soldier, a marksmanship medal, two ribbon bars and insignia. The dog tag reads JOS. L. DEE PRIVATE 96TH CO. C.A.C. U.S.A.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Various sizes.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads; photograph; white metal dog tag; plated brass insignia and silk ribbons on bars.
ATTACHMENT:All pins have horizontal pin with "C" catches; one of the ribbon bars has horizontal safety pin; two round insignia have single screw back posts with disc backings; dog tag has a stamped hole for attachment.
MARKINGS:Reverse of medal: 96 CO. COAST ART. NO. 41.
