This is a World War I era Distinguished Service Order medal from the United Kingdom, a decoration given to members of the armed forces who display highly commendable behavior, particularly during combat. The medal is a white enameled cross with the Imperial crown in brass at center wreathed by laurel. The reverse shows the royal cypher of George V (GvR).
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1-1/16" height and 3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension loop with bracelet clasp.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Medal shows light to moderate abrasions and wear and is no longer on a ribbon.
