ARTIFACT: This is a World War I Austrian Unit Cap Badge for the Karpathen Korps Hofmann. The group did battle in the Carpathian Mountains in 1914 and 1915.


The C type catch is broken off of this white metal badge. 

VINTAGE: Circa World War I, 1915 - 1916.

SIZE: Approximately 1-9/16" in height x 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: White metal.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin (C type catch is missing).

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Imperial Austrian Badge Collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX12 LFEX9/12

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows some light wear and spots of oxidation; C catch is missing.
