ARTIFACT: This is an early World War I Austrian 11th Army (11 Armee) cap badge. The badge reads "Joined Together in Strength" (Mit Vereinter Kraft!), referring to German and Austrian forces. Across the top of badge are the words 1914 WELTKRIEG (World War) 1915, and at the center in relief are Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria and Hungary and Wilhelm II, German Emperor.

VINTAGE: World War I. 1914 - 1915.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height x 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: BILDHAUER GURSCHNER WIEN VII/2
