Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a wonderful World War I Royal Flying Corps walking stick or cane with a humorous caricature of a big-nosed pilot's head as the handle. The handle is dated 8-4-16 on the underside. The cane is made from traditional teardrop Malacca and has a woven silver collar. The head is wearing an RFC pilot's flight helmet and goggles, has inset glass eyes and HUGE nostrils.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 33-1/2" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Teardrop Malacca wood, glass eyes, silver collar, brass tip.
