ARTIFACT: Wonderful, early 1927 hand-painted LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin Commemorative velvet pillowcase. The center depicts the LZ 127 flying with other aircraft encircled by a wreath and showing the Weimer Republic German flag crossed with the United States flag at the bottom center of the city skyline. This was no doubt meant to be sold as a souvenir of an early United States Flight by the LZ 127, it is extremely rare and in excellent condition.

VINTAGE: Circa 1927.

SIZE: Approximately 19-1/8" in length x 15-3/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-painted velvet.

ATTACHMENT: Opening for pillow.

MARKINGS: "GUARANTEED HAND-PAINTED MADE IN GERMANY" paper tag on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Zeppelin aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAIEM14 LEGEX05/16 S/TRVDJJX05/22

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The pillowcase shows mild wear, nearly all the painted details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
