Wonderful Ca 1936-39 Santa Monica CA Police Captain of Detectives Badge with presentation engraving

This is a Wonderful Circa 1936 - 1939 Santa Monica California Police Captain of Detectives Badge with presentation engraving on Back. Sadly the original Recipient's name has been ground off of the badge...it's possible that someone with forensic abilities might be able to deduce the original wearer, but for now all we know is that it would have been presented at some point during Mayor Ed Gillette's time in office, can 1937 - 1940.

Circa 1936 - 1939.

Approximately 2-3/8" in height x 1-13/16" in width.

Gold-plated brass, Hard Fired enamel, nickel star and findings.

Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.
