This is a cool circa 1934 Chicago American Basketball Tournament participant lapel pin. Debuting on Independence Day in 1900, the Chicago American was a newspaper initially owned by mogul William Randolph Hearst. The pin shows a basketball about to sink through a basket.
VINTAGE:Circa 1934.
SIZE:Approximately 3/4" in height and 11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.
