ARTIFACT: This is a cool circa 1934 Chicago American Basketball Tournament participant lapel pin. Debuting on Independence Day in 1900, the Chicago American was a newspaper initially owned by mogul William Randolph Hearst. The pin shows a basketball about to sink through a basket.

VINTAGE: Circa 1934.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in height and 11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS: None.
